Target Independence Day Celebration Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Craneway Pavilion Free to the public Inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond, a patriotic celebration for the whole family featuring live music, food and fireworks. 5:00pm: Exterior dock area and food stands open to the public. 6:30pm: Doors open. Performances by Khalil Shaheed and Oaktown Jazz Workshops and Hilltop Community Church Choir. 8:00pm: Oakland East Bay Symphony concert conducted by Michael Morgan that includes Disney classics, Broadway favorites and medley of works by American composer John Philip Sousa, among others. 9:15pm: (approx): Grand Finale Patriotic music accompanying the City of Richmond's spectacular fireworks display over the water. General and premium parking will be available. There is limited seating available on a first come first served basis and guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs. An Independence Day themed concession menu will be available at the Craneway Pavilion. The adjacent BoilerHouse restaurant will also be open for full-menu dining and service prior to and during the July 3rd event, reservations are highly recommended. Beer, wine and additional beverages will be available. No outside liquor will be allowed.
The Craneway Pavilion is located on 25 waterfront acres and delivers incredible views of the San Francisco skyline featuring floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a 20,000 square foot patio, perfect for viewing the City of Richmond's Firework Display.
