Symphony relies on contributions from individuals and businesses to sustain its
acclaimed music and education programs..

We have many ways in which
you can support the Oakland East Bay Symphony:
Annual Fund: The Annual Fund provides operating
support for ongoing programs. Join the Baton Society, the Conductors Club
or be a Supporter and enjoy membership privileges while taking pride in the
impact of your investment in the arts. See Donor
Benefits
Tribute Fund: Gifts to the Tribute Fund honor or
remember a special person, and are used for your choice of restricted or
unrestricted programs.
Business in the Arts Networking
Circle: The Symphonys Business in the Arts Networking Circle,
comprised of local companies, helps fund music education in the East
Bay.
Corporate Matching Gifts: Many businesses will match
or increase an employees gift to the Symphony. Ask your employer about
matching gift programs.
Sponsorships: Sponsor a concert, guest artist or
educational program and receive select benefits throughout the
year.
Securities: Gifts of
appreciated securities or stock can be an advantageous way of giving. If your
gift of stock is one you have owned for more than one year, you may deduct its
full fair market value as a charitable contribution, while bypassing all
capital gains taxes.
Planned Giving: A planned gift is a
broad term that includes cash, bequests, life insurance, property and
charitable trusts, among other things. Planned gifts can provide considerable

Endowment Fund: You can support the Symphonys
Endowment by: making a cash gift or donating appreciated securities; making a
planned charitable gift to the Endowment; or considering a Charitable Remainder
Trust, which may enable a benefactor to make a gift of appreciated assets to
OEBS, while avoiding capital gains taxes on sale of the assets.

goods and services.
