MORE WAYS TO MAKE A GIFT Donors to the Oakland East Bay Symphony play an all important role in sustaining the Symphony's tradition of artistic excellence and community service. Ticket revenue alone does not cover the cost presenting high quality music education and outreach programs. We rely on your charitable support to help us meet these needs. Consider the many ways your contribution can help ensure a strong future for the Oakland East Bay Symphony.
We have many ways in which you can support the Oakland East Bay Symphony: Annual Fund: Annual gifts from Contributor ($50) to
Platinum Baton ($10,000 and above) or anywhere in between. Tribute Fund: Honor or memorialize a special person. Corporate Matching Gifts: Many corporations have matching gift programs. Please be sure to check if yours does. Sponsorships: Sponsor a concert, guest artist, open rehearsal or some of the many other programs that the Symphony performs. In-Kind Gifts: The Symphony is always in need of goods and services. Planned Giving: A "planned gift" is a broad term that includes life insurance, property and charitable trusts, among other things. Planned gifts often provide considerable tax savings. Many people who could not otherwise give to the Symphony as generously as they would, find they are able to do so with a carefully planned gift. See Calvin Simmons Legacy Society. Securities: Gifts of appreciated securities or stock can be one of the most advantageous ways of giving. If your gift of stock is one you have owned for more than one year, you may be able to deduct the full fair market value of the stock as a charitable contribution, while bypassing all capital gains taxes. Endowment Fund: See Endowment Fund. If you would like more information about any of these programs, please contact the Development Director at 510-444-0801.
