Music for Kids

Kinder Guitar
Founded by an award-winning classical guitarist in the Bay Area, this popular program provides a wonderful introduction to the guitar and the world of music for children ages 5-10. Young students experience early success and have fun, while the age-appropriate curriculum guides them to a complete musical development. The program encourages parental involvement, includes two seasonal recitals, and guarantees lots of fun in the classroom.

Music Makers • Weekly Music Makers age-appropriate classes offer parents and young children (18 months to 6 years old) engaging opportunities to grasp the elements of music--pitch, tempo, rhythm--in an environment where everyone feels invited to sing, play and learn. We draw from Orff, Kodaly and Dalcroze Eurhythmics theories of music education. Music theory is integrated into a weekly theme that children can relate to-- like trains, animals or rainbows--sparking imaginations, inspiring musical creativity and shaping our class games, songs and instrument play. Class schedules, registration and program information is available on the Music Makers website.
