Congratulations to saxophonist Lucas Hopkins, the
Senior Division winner of OEBS's 15th Annual Young Artist Competition
held on May 22 (preliminary) and June 5 (final), 2011. Lucas graduated from Liberty High School in Brentwood a few years ago and will be a senior at the University of Minnesota this fall. He'll play Glazunov's Saxophone Concerto at our January 27 concert. Saxophone and Carmina Burana all in one evening. Second Prize in the Senior Division went to Violinist Ravenna Lipchik. Junior Division Winner Pianist Chloe Ma, age 10. |
